FROM LEN NAGORSKI - WA0OQW I am the second owner of this transceiver. It was originally purchased from Payne Radio Co. on 6 May 1983. It had the 200 watt power amplified upgrade, as well as the multicolor LEDs, the AM filter and the 60 pin remote control connector on the back panel for computer control. I purchase the transceiver in 1998 from KCOM in San Antonio and had it the past 15 years. Except for having to replace several ICs on one of the control boards, it has functioned well the past 15 years. Since getting the transceiver, I have install other mechanical filters for the two CW positions as well as a filter for the LSB position. |
